LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and Angeline Jolie were the Hollywood dream couple easily raising the bar high for other celebrity couples. However, the reality was far from beautiful. What others saw was a couple adopting children and living their best life, but behind the curtain, the reality was as ugly as it gets. From meeting on a movie set to indulge in a romance, from being a married couple to now battling for custody of their children, the star couple has seen their ups and downs.
The 'Fight Club' actor and the 'Maleficent' actress met on the sets of 'Mr and Mrs Smith' and started their romance in 2004. When they met, Pitt was already married to Jennifer Aniston and Jolie was living her life with her toddler son Maddox. Fast forward to 2006, Pitt formerly adopted Maddox which meant smooth sailing from that point onward. However, the world knows that their relationship severely ruptured after a fight onboard a private jet in September 2016. After that, Maddox didn't want anything to do with Brad Pitt and he even dropped Pitt from his last name. According to reports at that time, Maddox never wanted to see Pitt again.

In recent times, the FBI report investigating the alleged altercation on the plane that reportedly ended Pitt and Jolie's marriage has revealed some shocking information. As per the documents, Pitt referred to one of the children and said that the child "looked like a f*****g Columbine kid." While the documents did not mention the name of the child, speculations are that he directed it toward Maddox. But this wasn't the only thing that led to the destruction of the family that Hollywood adored at one point in time.

There was nothing conventional about the life that these two celebrities were living. For example, Maddox was always into guns and knives, which is something that was happily promoted by Angelina Jolie herself. In an old interview with W Magazine, Jolie talked about Maddox's love for the same revealing that she bought him daggers at the age of 11 or 12. As per Mirror, a nanny also revealed that the house was full of chaos and that the six children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, eight – were constantly fighting as children do.
The nanny continued, "They have no control over the kids. In the middle of the night, they're running down the hallway waking their parents up and trying to get into their beds." The marriage also weakened over the years due to their hectic schedules as they were constantly globetrotting for their movies and press conferences. Over the years, they called many hotels their temporary homes as they traveled around. On the other hand, Pitt struggled with the growing fame and started drinking heavily, so much so that he would wake up drunk the next day as well. However, when Jolie's brother moved in with them to take care of their children in the final years of their marriage, it was the final nail in the coffin. Differences started surfing as Pitt would grow to dislike James and the two would eventually end their marriage.
