Who is Stan Pulliam's wife? GOP candidate admits couple were part of 563-strong swinger group
The leading Republican candidate in the Oregon gubernatorial race has admitted that he and his wife previously explored an open relationship to spice things up.
Stan Pulliam is currently serving as the mayor of Sandy, a city of around 10,000 residents located southeast of Portland. It has now emerged that the 40-year-old joined the 536-member “Swinger Facebook Group PDX" in 2016. Pulliam raised eyebrows this week as his past swinging activities surfaced following a screenshot of a message he posted on the group that made waves online. Upon joining the group, Pulliam allegedly declared that he and his wife of 12 years, Mackensey Pulliam, were excited to broaden their marital horizons, Mediaite reported.

“Hi Everyone!,” the mayor of Sandy wrote in the group message. “MacKensey and I are excited to be added to your little community. Some of you we have already had the pleasure to meet and we look forward to getting to know the rest of you!” Earlier this week, Pulliam reportedly admitted that the screenshot was authentic, the Willamette Week reported.

Pulliam acknowledged that prior to entering the gubernatorial race, he and his wife had "explored relationships, mutual relationships with other couples, for a brief period of time before ultimately deciding that it wasn’t for us.” The 40-year-old sat next to his wife for a Zoom interview Thursday afternoon and did not reveal when the "mutual relationships" began or ended, but said 2016 was an accurate date and that their activities ended well before he decided to run for governor
Who is Stan Pulliam's wife?
MacKensey Pulliam is the First Lady of Sandy, Oregon, where her husband serves as the mayor. She is a doting mother to two girls and is on the board of a local non-profit organization. She was formerly a board member for the public charter school her daughters attend. MacKensey has fought for a number of Republican causes, including getting students back in the classroom in a post-pandemic world.
Stan Pulliam told the Week that he and his wife were only interested in opening up their relationship for a brief period. “I think people can relate from all different parts of the state who have been involved in marriages,” he said. “There are different stages of marriage and different ebbs and flows. This is something that was for a brief period in our past and is in the past.” Meanwhile, he also asserted that he's not ashamed of his and his wife's personal endeavors. “In Oregon, we really cherish values of individuality and liberty,” Pulliam said. “The decisions that we made were for MacKensey and I to make in the privacy of our own homes.”
The pair has reportedly received an outpouring of support since Pulliam's admission. At one point in the interview, he denied he's bisexual. “I’m a heterosexual male,” Pulliam insisted. “And I’ve only personally engaged in heterosexual activity.” According to recent polling, Pulliam sits at second place in the GOP primary in Oregon. According to Mediaite, there was no indication during the interview that he intends to quit the race in the wake of the controversy.
