‘Spy Games’ Preview: 10 civilians embrace the thrilling world of espionage for $100,000 prize money
One can’t deny that there is a certain charm and pull around the life of a spy - from going on undercover missions to just enjoying the finer things in life à la James Bond, and if you are keen on seeing how one goes about acquiring the skills needed to be a good spy, then Bravo’s latest offering ‘Spy Games’ might just be what you have been looking for.
The show which has been heavily inspired by the US government’s secret service program called “Station S”, recruits 10 civilians from various walks of life and trains them in the art of espionage. While Station S was used during World War II, to extract secrets from the enemies, the civilians on ‘Spy Games’ won’t be digging into any classified federal information but just dig up dirt on their fellow aspiring spies.
While they are not busy trying to dig out dirt on their fellow spies they will be trained in some of the key skills required to be a good spy. The preview clip released by Bravo shows skills like lock-picking being taught to the spies. The contestants are then sent on missions to execute the skills they have learnt. Each of the players will be eliminated based on their performance in each task and the progress they have made in acquiring the skills needed to be a master spy.
Aside from this exciting lifestyle, in case you are wondering why anybody would want to do this, then in comes the grand prize of $100,000, which the winner will be taking home. The winner will be the one who has managed to uncover everybody’s secrets, while successfully completing all the tasks assigned to him/her.
These amateur spies will be groomed by none other than former undercover CIA officer Douglas Laux, former Special Agent for the United States Secret Service Evy Poumpouras, and former FBI special agent Erroll Southers. We can’t wait to watch this exciting new show, and learn more about the glamorous and thrilling life of a spy.
'Spy Games' is all set to premiere on Monday, January 20, at 10 pm ET/PT, only on Bravo.
