'Spider-Man 3': Is Tom Holland pushing for Paul Rudd's Ant-Man to join him in the upcoming film?

In 'Captain America: Civil War' and the last two Avengers films, Peter interacted with various superheroes, but not so much with Scott Lang. So if all goes according to Tom Holland's plan, this might just be the film to change things around

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in the Marvel Spider-Man films has always had a father-figure to guide him.

In the first film 'Spider-Man: Homecoming', Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) was there with him and in the second film, 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' he had Nick Fury...or rather Talon (Samuel L Jackson). It turns out that now Tom Holland is pushing for Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) to be in the third film.

According to We Got It Covered, Marvel studio was toying with the idea of Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel or Ms Marvel to appear in the third film. They had limited unavailability. So that left Holland to ask for who he wanted: Ant-Man.

Apparently, sources say that Tom Holland is pressing for Ant-Man to be in the third film, as he is a big fan of Paul Rudd. Holland has earlier mentioned his desire to bring the two characters closer as well.

In 'Captain America: Civil War' and the last two Avengers films, Peter interacted with various superheroes, but not so much with Scott Lang. So if all goes according to Tom Holland's plan, this might just be the film to change things around.

Holland has a lot of influence, and it is well-known that he was the one who worked hard to bridge the gap between Sony and Disney after it was announced that Spider-Man would no longer be in the MCU. Let's see if his wish pays off this time!

Peter Parker's life is nothing less than a rollercoaster. After discovering that he has spidey powers, he joined Iron-Man (or rather stowed away) to save the world from Thanos (Josh Brolin). Unfortunately, that didn't work out and Peter was "blipped" away by Thanos's snap.

The effects of the snap were reversed in 'Endgame', and Peter returned for the final battle only to watch his hero, Iron-Man die in front of his eyes.

In 'Spider-Man: Far From Home', just before dying, the villain Mysterio reveals Spider-Man's identity and frames him for his death. What will happen next in 'Spider-Man 3?'

The film is expected to begin shooting this July.
