'Southern Charm': Kathryn slammed for being 'horrible friend' to Cameran for bringing up Jason's cheating rumors

Fans were furious with Kathryn and said that she was solely responsible for bringing up the Jason affair rumors in front of the camera

'Southern Charm' Season 7 returned with, as expected, truckloads of drama. Apart from highlighting Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll's relationship status and how they are back in a healthy and happy space, the episode was also about Kathryn Dennis polishing her co-parenting skills with former partner and disgraced state treasurer Thomas Ravenel around.

But fans were surprised with Thomas' appearance because he was fired by Bravo soon after his arrest that was followed by the sexual assault allegations brought against him by his children's former nanny. But what shook them more was how the showrunners chose to drag former cast member Cameran Eubanks' name into the narrative. 

During one of the scenes, Kathryn is seen chatting with Craig Conover about Shep Rose and his big party. While at it, he brought up Cameran and how he and her husband, Jason Wimberly, have been trying to get her out and have some fun. Kathryn took the opportunity to spill the tea that Jason has been having an affair with someone, but Craig swiftly denied the claims because it was "absurd" and "dark". 

Off of the show, Cameran took to her social media to address the cheating allegations and how hurtful it had been for her and the family. She was upset that her "faithful" husband, Jason was being dragged into this. According to the rumors, he was having an affair with a makeup artist, Rebecca Wash, but she came forward to confirm that she has had no relationship with him ever. 

"I have never met Jason or Cameran Wimberly in my life. These hurtful accusations are blatant unfounded lies that have shaken me to my core," Rebbeca wrote on her Instagram and added that the blatant lies were hurtful.

Former cast member Naomie Olindo slammed Kathryn on social for spreading the rumor. “To all those asking why Cameran, Chelsea and I (and anyone with a life they want to protect) quit the show. It’s s—t like this,” she said on her Instagram story and added: “Shame on you @kathryndennis for this and MANY other things.”

But Kathryn clapped back at the claims and said on her Instagram that she was heartbroken that the whole thing was being blown out of proportion. Read her post here.

Meanwhile, fans have branded Kathryn a "horrible friend" after she showed no remorse about spreading a rumor about Cameran. 

"Oh Kathryn. Seriously?! So you really were responsible for bringing the Jason affair rumors to the camera and screens. Okay Cameran, I do NOT blame you for leaving. Anything for ratings and viewership...yikes. #SouthernCharm," a user tweeted, while another shared: "I can’t believe that not only would @BravoTV put Thomas back on my screen but to drag Cameran into this? She was the best thing to happen to #SouthernCharm."

"And saying it in public in a restaurant makes it so much worse. she seemed excited to spread that rumor," another wrote.

"So what Cameran said was true, KD spread this nasty rumor. What a horrible friend. #SouthernCharm," a fan pointed out. "Is this why @cameraneubanks left the show? Tbh respect for Cameran why would you need this when her daughter can go back and watch the cheap comments to remain in a show. Some people can’t be trusted... #SouthernCharm," another commented.
