Ever since John Pringle stumbled on Madison LeCroy at Shep Rose's party, he knew she was someone he'd consider being with. While viewers may have dismissed it at first thinking that he might have got carried away, but it turns out he is serious about pursuing Madison despite knowing that she is with Austen Kroll. He is so passionate about this chase that he ends up expressing his feelings for Madison to Austen. In tonight's episode, we see Madison, Kathryn Dennis, and Danni Baird discuss the aftermath of John's relentless love. He was yelled at and asked to leave the house after he sat next to Madison while sharing that he was conflicted about his friendship with Austen and how he felt about her.

And that was it for Austen, who asked John to leave his house immediately after. Austen was visibly perturbed while he narrated the incident to Craig Conover, explained how he didn't appreciate the fact that John took the liberty to speak with Madison knowing that she and Austen are together.

Meanwhile, fans seem to think that the Madison-John story is staged and a bit odd. "His storyline seems overly produced at this point. I know it’s a show, but his pretending Madison is the only girl for him is utter nonsense. And please Patricia, please stop matchmaking older men with young ladies. Get a life," a fan commented on a Reddit thread, to which another responded: "Agree it feels like they’re reaching and everyone is all in on the story of him trying to “steal her”. Pretty lame." "Really confused at his infatuation with Madison since they’ve met twice and Madison is on the show mainly because she’s austins gf. Odd," a user posted.

"The Pringle and Madison storyline is so fake I can't even. #SouthernCharm," a viewer tweeted. "Naomi and Chelsea even Thomas had more of a storyline. Having this weird guy John Pringle come in to try to steal Madison. They need better writers. #SouthernCharm," another commented.
