An actress who has appeared in 'The Sopranos' as well 'The Sixth Sense' is said to be suing a man for allegedly beating up her two pet dogs so badly, that one died. Janis Dardaris had shared how she had left her two Maltese dogs to be looked after by a pet sitter at her Manhattan apartment for around two months while she was traveling for an acting job in October last year, The New York Post has revealed. The two dogs Frankie, 12, and Alex, 11, were attacked by the pet sitter's boyfriend Vincent Tang, court papers reveal.

In the papers, it is alleged that Tang had "savagely beat Alex to death ... then took Frankie to the roof of [the] building, where he sadistically tortured Frankie for several minutes by punching, throwing, chasing, and kicking the defenseless dog multiple times."

He then left Frankie in the apartment to die, the papers reportedly state. One of Dardaris' neighbors had captured cell phone footage of a man whom the actress claims is Tang abusing the dog on the roof of the apartment. The authorities were told about the abuse by neighbors who rushed to the roof and took Frankie to the hospital.

Dardaris shared how the poor pooch had to be hospitalized for more than two weeks and suffered from two skull fractures, two fractured ribs, and permanent damage to his left eye. She also thinks that the accused had taken the keys to her apartment from his girlfriend but has no idea why he would attack the defenseless animals.

"It's unimaginable to me that something like that could happen and that someone could do that and create such pain and grief in someone's life. I wake up every night thinking about ... the ache of thinking about what Alex went through doesn't go away," she shared.

"And Frankie, you dear little thing, how could this have happened to you?" she continued. Tang was arrested last year in November and faces two counts of aggravated animal cruelty.  If he is convicted he could face up to two years in prison.

Many social media users were left outraged at the news of the crime. One such user had commented and shared, "'Sues'  I would kick the sh*t out of the little moron." Another user added, "That warrants an a** whoopin." Yet another had commented, "According to the article, the scumbag faces up to 2 years in jail for this. problem is judges rarely sentence perps with jail time. hopefully, he gets the full 2 years."

A few others had taken to Facebook to comment on the heinous crime in outrage. One such user had commented and said, "I don’t go on vacation unless my dog can go. That’s just how it is. I trust NO one with him. Period." Another added, "I normally wouldn't post something so disturbing, but, this is a cautionary tale to be careful about who you trust with your pets." "I hope he faces the same treatment in jail. Poor babies," wrote another social media user.
