'Snowfall' Season 3 finale preview: With Andre dead and no discernable opponent, this could be the end for Franklin

In 'Snowfall' Season 3, Detective Andre Wright was the main source of opposition against Franklin Saint. Will someone else be introduced or is this the end?

'Snowfall' Season 3 is coming to an end we wonder who will emerge as the ultimate villain of this season. Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) killed the one man who has stood against him since the beginning of this season - Detective Andre Wright (Marcus Henderson) - when the detective found Franklin's connection to the undercover CIA agent Teddy McDonald aka Reed Thompson (Carter Hudson).

He shot the detective and left him to die despite the fact that he had known Andre not just as a detective, but also a neighbor whose house Franklin had visited often as a kid. In fact, he had once fallen in love with Melody (Reign Edwards), Andre's daughter, who he seems to have no affection for anymore.

Yes, he did try to rid her of her cocaine addiction, but that did not work. After all, it is he who is distributing rock in the neighborhood so Melody's condition is something he must have expected, but Franklin chose to avoid the repercussions of his business altogether until he came face to face with the fact there is a lot he can lose if his connection to the CIA were to be found out prematurely.

So by removing Andre from the picture, he ensured there was no one who could influence him or blackmail him. The other cop, Andre's partner, Herb Nixon also chooses to work for Franklin in lieu of payments. So that begs the question, who will Franklin have to stand up to now? Who will he have to fight and how much more does he have to sacrifice in the name of his business?

It cannot be Reed Thompson, now that we know how invested he is in getting this operation back on its feet. Also, geographically speaking, Thompson is in Mexico now with Gustavo (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), who is trying to build an underground tunnel in his place.

Avi Drexler (Alon Aboutboul) is also in hiding after being warned by Reed that his identity has been burned and Rigo (Christian Tappan), the head of the Columbian cartel, is also under the CIA's payroll now, which technically means he would be Franklin's ally. So that leaves a vacant spot in Franklin's life and we wonder if someone would be introduced to fill this spot up.

Or would season 3 be the end for Franklin in the show created by John Singleton, considering he was shot twice by Melody and left to bleed at the same spot he killed Melody's father?  We will have to wait and see when the finale airs tonight at 10 p.m. on FX.
