A wise man once said that loving someone is easy but keeping up with love is a strenuous task. If it’s an industry like entertainment, then breakups and patch ups are common news. Now, South Korean TV series SKY Castle’s co-stars Kim Bo Ra and actor Jo Byung Gyu have confirmed on August 3 that they will be parting ways.

The lovebirds who had confirmed their relationship on February 21 last year, following the airing of their hit drama ‘SKY Castle’, have cited their ‘busy schedules’ as the reason behind their break up. Reportedly, Kim Bo Ra’s agency MoMent Global confirmed, “The two naturally grew apart, and they recently broke up. They have returned to being good acquaintances.”

The reasons seem apt given that Byung Gyu has been working without a break since ‘SKY Castle’, appearing on independent drama ‘ Stove League’. He will also be starring in OCN’s upcoming drama ‘Fascinating Rumor’ (literal translation). On the contrary, Bo Ra will also be starring in MBC’s cinematic drama SF8 series ‘Joan’s Galaxy’.

Hearing the news, forlorn fans want the two “cuties” back and are hoping the couple works out their differences. Some are reminiscing about how they loved the ‘SKY Castle’ drama that brought the couple together. Some fans said that the couple was a 'one true pairing’ kind of couple. Others are not at all surprised and expressed the reality of the world of showbiz where breakups are common.

“Yeah I'm not surprised. relationships really can't last in that kind of industry,” tweeted a disappointed fan.

As per IMDb, 'SKY Castle' is, “A satirical drama that closely looks at the materialistic desires of the upper-class parents in South Korea and how they ruthlessly secure the successes of their families at the cost of destroying others' lives.” The 20 episode show has a glittering 8.7 rating on IMDb, making it one of the most popular dramas.

Some fans are still doubtful as to what could be the reason for the breakup and whether the stars hid the news before so that it did not affect approval ratings of their upcoming shows. “Maybe yes because he land his first lead role and he dont want to affect the drama negatively , and maybe no because they dated each other publicly for 1 year and half so why they have to say tbey broken up but not”, tweeted a fan. Others are boosting the morale of their beloved stars saying that though the news is sad but they are still young and must focus on their glorious careers. “Sad but it's okay your life still in just 20 ages, just focus on career now,” a user tweeted.
