Netflix is soon releasing a new-age, fast-paced, youth-oriented series by the name 'Sintonia', the name in English meaning tuning. This series won't just be an eye-catcher for the Brazilian or Portuguese speaking populace but the youth from different cultures and mindsets as well. This Portuguese drama series set in Sao Paulo will be released on August 9, 2019.
The series is based on three young teenagers who have their perspectives on the kind of life they want to live. The fresh ideologies of youth in the world today are portrayed well in this creative. The personalities of each of the characters depict something very relatable and unique to the generation of today. The series captures the influence of drugs, music, and religion in the lives of the three teens. The three teens embark on a journey of self-discovery, living in Favela which is a low- to middle-income, unorganized neighborhood in Brazil. Plot
The series is set in the downtown Brazilian town of Sao Paulo Favela. The story focuses on the lives of three young teens who embark on a lifestyle based on the choices and decisions they make to shape their lives on their own. The teen characters will be played by MC JottaPê as Doni, Christian Malheiros as Nando, and Bruna Mascarenhas as Rita. The series is based on these three childhood friends and how they try to pursue their dreams in Favela. Doni, Nando, and Rita have been brought up with the understanding that their lives, when they grow up, will not be easy. Yet, they pursue their dreams as a trio. The plot thickens as the connection between the three friends expands into music, religion, and drugs. The teens are up and about to explore new adventures individually and later come to realize that they would need each other to achieve their dreams and aspirations. The series not only gives us an insight into the reality of the world today but also broadens the effects of social issues such as drug trafficking and religion and how the teens manage to juggle between the two.

The main character of this series is MC JottaPê. At 19 years of age, he is best known in the Brazilian film industry for his skills in singing, composing, and acting. He gained popularity after his acting role in the popular telenovela Chiquititas where he played the character of Janjão after which he also was in a film called Menino da Porteira where he was a costar to well-known singer Daniel.
Christian Malheiros
The other leading teen crucial to the plot of the series is Christian Malheiros, a 19-year-old Brazilian actor who started his acting career at the age of nine. He is best known for his role in the drama Socrates for which he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Actor.
Bruna Mascarenhas
The lead actress who will be part of this series is Bruna Mascarenhas. She will be making her debut in this Netflix drama series 'Sintonia'.
Director
The director of this movie is a very popular music video producer and the director who has a fan following of more than 30 million on youtube. Konrad Dantas, commonly known as KondZilla, has worked in partnership with Guilherme Quintella and Felipe Braga for the making of 'Sintonia'. He also is a Brazillian screenwriter and founder of the KondZilla Records.
