Just a few days after releasing their lovey-dovey collaborative effort, 'Konclusions' on Valentine's Day, it turns out that the talented artistes Kehlani and YG are now no longer a couple.

Now, we also know why they broke up. On February 17, the R&B singer Kehlani revealed her reasons for the split in her new track 'Valentine's Day (Shameful)' that was unveiled on the singer's social media and released on music streaming platforms like SoundCloud. It turns out that the rapper YG had been unfaithful to her, and this isn't even the first time we have heard that news before.

Following rumors of the hip-hop star's infidelity in the past, YG had apologized to Kehlani and promised to change his ways. It appears that the couple had been trying to work past the issues in their relationship.

Things appeared to be going swimmingly with the talented duo, going by the lyrics in their love song 'Konclusions' that was released by YG on February 14. The song featured some sultry guest-appearance vocals by Kehlani. The lyrics to that catchy love song's chorus go, "When I say I love you / That means I love you no matter what." So it seemed like the couple was in this thing for the long-haul.

However, that all quickly changed when Kehlani realized her man had been cheating on her.

Kehlani's latest track, 'Valentine’s Day (Shameful)' is a scintillating diss track/ expose of what the rapper YG had really been up to behind the singer's back.

In the song that immediately started trending on social media, Kehlani admitted to checking YG's phone while he was passed out drunk, and she revealed that she had found evidence for what she had long suspected — that YG had been having a secret affair with an unnamed mistress.

Although she never mentioned the rapper by name, it's clear who she was talking about and she even said that her ex did not deserve the attention that naming-and-shaming would bring. "I'd say your name, but you don't deserve recognition," goes one of the pointed lyrics in the song, which you can check out here below.

The singer went on to talk about their turbulent relationship in the song.

"I gotta give myself credit for loving as hard as I did / I helped you fight your addiction and change your whole life / Just to find myself played in the end / Ain’t no regrets ’cause I’m proud and my heart was so pure and I’m never ashamed of my love / Now I’m finding strength in the fact that you’re nothing to me and I know the things I am above,” the wounded Kehlani sings.

It is certainly a beautiful work of art and it is no wonder that this song has been going viral on social media of late. It's gorgeously written and performed piece of artistic expression, born out of pain and heartbreak.

We wish Kehlani all the best for the future and hope she does finally find the true love she seeks and deserves. But as she herself sings on the track — "I always land on my feet / Bounce-back game clean and neat." This girl knows what's up!
