If you're an Adele fan, then we have a huge reason for you to celebrate. The talented multi-platinum-selling singer recently revealed that we can expect her new album in September this year, after many years of recording inactivity. Her last studio album '25', was released way back in 2015. The news of this latest album, however, didn't come from a press release or the singer's official website, but rather from footage that was captured of the singer at a wedding and then went viral on social media.

It turns out that Adele had been officiating at the wedding ceremony of her friend Laura Dockrill, who was getting married to Hugo White, a former member of the now-defunct indie rock band 'The Maccabees'. While at the ceremony, Adele was captured on camera telling the guests that were present at the celebration that she would be releasing her highly-anticipated new music by the fall of 2020. Adele also had a further treat in store for everyone gathered for the evening - after the wedding ceremony, she also performed a surprise set that comprised a medley of popular songs. She was seen singing her smash hit 'Rolling in the Deep', along with evergreen covers like the Spice Girls’ 'Spice Up Your Life', Candi Staton’s 'Young Hearts Run Free' and Beyonce’s 'Crazy in Love.' Adele was also seen singing along to Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' later on, as the party celebrations progressed into the night.

This news further reinforces what Adele's manager and the agent had revealed earlier last month about her music being released in 2020. Adele is represented by the brother and sister duo, Jonathan Dickins, the founder & CEO of September Management, and Lucy Dickins, who is Adele's agent at the global agency WME. Jonathan told Music Week that the follow-up to Adele's '25' album would be probably coming out this year, and also quipped “the sooner the better.”

The internet had previously been speculating that the 'Someone Like You' singer would be releasing new music in October last year, but those rumors turned out to be fabricated. So considering this revelation is coming from Adele herself, we can genuinely start getting excited about her upcoming album again! Stay tuned for more updates!
