'Siesta Key': Chloe demands luxury handbag as price to keep quiet about Alex-Juliette's hook up in Nashville
MTV aired a two-hour mid-season finale episode this week and it was explosive. Friendships and romantic relationships have all gone for a toss and, from the looks of it, it's going to take more than just an apology to fix it.
Alex Kompothecras and Juliette Porter's on-and-off equation went into a completely different zone when the two, along with their other friends, were in Nashville. The former couple hooked up multiple times in the city. Chloe Trautman found out about it but she won't be stirring the pot further because Alex bought her silence.
Both Juliette and Alex knew what they did will not leave their conscience and they also worried if Chloe knew there was a good chance everyone else would know of their secret adventures.
To keep it hidden, Alex offered Chloe a deal. He said he would buy her anything if she kept quiet about him and Juliette's hookup stories. She wanted a Celine handbag.
Chloe is someone who cannot spend a second without getting into another person's business and to see her struggle with the need to spill the tea to Alyssa Salerno (Alex's girlfriend) was unnatural.
It usually takes her a little nudge to let out all the goss but this time Chloe's lips were sealed for real. Alyssa prodded her, indirectly asking if she should be aware of anything related to Alex and Juliette but Chloe talked in circles.
Juliette and Alex may have had their differences and are now finally ready to move on, but they probably harbor strong feelings of love and attachment for each other that bring them back together every once in a while.
Though guilty of having crossed the line, the two showed enough and more maturity in their parting conversation, which was more of how they were going to be friends and never block the other out.
Because their's is such an interesting equation, everyone else in the group seems to be involved in their relationship. And that could be a major reason why they are not together anymore.
At a Nashville club, while Juliette chatted with Kelsey, Chloe, and others, Amanda walked up to Alex, told him how Juliette was never his soulmate and added that they don't look good together.
This put a dent in Amanda and Juliette's friendship, which was already hanging by a thread after what Robby Hayes (Juliette's ex) had done to Amanda's phone (he stole it and threw it in the ocean). Will they be able to fix it? It looks highly unlikely especially after Amanda calling Juliette a "f*****g bitch."
Alex never spoke of the whole truth, didn't admit to having slept with Juliette on his trip to Nashville. And this could be extremely damaging to his relationship with Alyssa especially in the coming months because they are having a baby together. And, starting a new chapter with a tainted conscience isn't a very good idea.
