It all started when Madina voiced concerns about being the oldest participant. Maria, another older contestant, tried to reassure someone else about age not being an issue. However, Sydney overheard and conveyed the conversation to Madina, who found it condescending.

Later at the cocktail party, Maria confronted Madina about her concerns, but Madina felt dismissed. Maria defended herself, stating she doesn't see herself as old. Sydney, however, thought Maria belittled Madina and wasn't pleased. As the conversation continued, Maria expressed empathy for Madina's struggle with the perception of age as a problem. However, Sydney continued to escalate unnecessary drama, making the situation more complicated.

After the episode aired, viewers took to social media to express their frustration with Sydney's involvement in the conflict. Some even labeled her as problematic and accused the show's producers of planting her to stir drama. Viewers felt that Sydney's insertion into the situation only worsened things and that she was unhelpful in resolving the conflict. "I love what I see from Maria but I want to see more," Joey said.
