'She Would Never Know' Episode 5: Jae-shin's fiancee finds out he is a cheat, will she target Song-ah next?
'She Would Never Know' Episode 5 sees Song-ah and Hyun-seung get separated after a fit of jealousy and Song-ah's cheating boyfriend who also happens to be her boss reassigns Hyun-seung to another team. Song-ah and Hyun-seung had acted as if they were in a relationship as a form of revenge after Song-ah found out that he was cheating on her, and was set to marry the daughter of the chairman who owns their company, Lee Hyo-joo (Lee Joo-bin). She also happens to be Director Jae-Woon's (Lee Gyu-han) sister. However, in the two years that Song-ah had dated her boss in secrecy, she had never doubted him, not until Hyun-seung showed her the truth and how Jae-shin and Hyo-joo had tried on their wedding outfits.
Now, Jae-shin despite being the trash that he is, and having cheated on both his girlfriend and his fiance, tries his best to hold Song-ah accountable for their relationship. Yes, it is bizarre and ironic. Yes, he is also being a grade-A as****le as he tries to convince her to get back together with him. As much as Song-ah attempts to steer clear of whatever he is plotting, he interferes at work and in her personal life.
In fact, Song-ah learns that Jae-shin had never planned on stopping his wedding but to continue dating her in secrecy. He had even planned the perfect getaway from his marriage in the form of an expansion plan of his brand in Europe which would require a task force to be assigned to the project. His plan was to leave to Europe with Song-ah and keep his marriage a secret. However, with Hyun-seung outing him, all of his plans went down the drain.
Now, not only does Song-ah know about his cheating, his fiance Hyo-joo also learns about the same. She watches Song-ah and Jae-shin argue about how she doesn't want to be a part of his life anymore and knowing Hyo-joo's personality -- she seems ready to target Song-ah. While Song-ah is struggling to stop her boss aka former boyfriend's advances, Hyun-seung is busy facing the consequences for stepping in between Song-ah and Jae-shin. He has been reassigned to a team where he would be doing door to door marketing about his company's products. This is completely different from what he had been doing so far as Song-ah's assistant branch manager, but even Song-ah is unable to stop Jae-shin.
Instead, she tries to comfort him, however, she ends up hearing another confession from him. Not a romantic one, but one that definitely had her heart skip a beat. Since she decided to act as if the two were dating, there have been many moments when Song-ah had struggled to keep it platonic, but she had tried her best to draw a line between them, but Jae-shin's attempts to separate them in the hopes of getting them to break up seems to be bringing them closer.
'She Would Never Know' is a TV adaptation of the webcomic 'Sunbae, Geu Lipstick Bareujimayo' which literally means 'Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick' and it airs every Monday and Tuesday on JTBC. The show can be streamed on iQiyi.
