'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power': From Horde Prime to Double Trouble, here are 5 things to expect in Season 4

New roles, new responsibilities, new threats — there's a lot to look forward to in Season 4 that promises to bring big changes to Etheria
PUBLISHED OCT 29, 2019

Season 4 of 'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power' kicks off this November 5 on Netflix, and after the tumultuous events of Season 3, fans are eager to see what happens next for both heroes and villains alike.

The trailers and season synopsis indicate that major changes are in store for the residents of Etheria — including a "shocking discovery about Etheria itself". Here are five of the things to look forward to the most in the upcoming season:

Glimmer as the Queen of Bright Moon

The tragic sacrifice of Queen Angella in the season three finale leaves Bright Moon's crown to Glimmer. The trailer has shown us hints of this new status quo, but with the crown come all the pressures of its responsibility.

Glimmer has grown a lot since her first appearance, but is she ready to be Queen? Ready or not, the role will come with unique challenges, especially as the Horde presses their advantage.

Who is the Traitor?

The trailer shows that the Horde is managing to be one step ahead of the Resistance at every turn, leading Mermista to arrive at a significant conclusion — there is a traitor in the Resistance.

While the "who" of it is certainly of great importance, the bigger question is the "why" — apart from Entrapta, every princess has been shown to be firmly against the Horde.

Suspicion and stress are never a good mix, and the resultant mistrust is sure to lead to upheaval within the ranks of the Resistance.

Double Trouble

The show’s newest character, Double Trouble, is a big deal in terms of representation as it introduces the show’s first non-binary character, voiced by gender-non-conforming star Jacob Tobia.

From the released character description, Double Trouble will be a powerful ally to the Horde, and their ability to shift forms makes them an excellent spy.

Horde Prime

Season three revealed the existence of a villain more powerful and evil than Hordak himself — the person Hordak was cloned from, Horde Prime.

Horde Prime is a powerful enough villain that the previous She-Ra, Mara, had to separate Etheria from the rest of the universe just to keep it safe from him.

That plan turns out not to be a permanent solution, as in the final moments of season three Horde Prime finds out just where Etheria is.

He is on his way with a vast intergalactic fleet in tow that dwarfs the forces the Resistance has been fighting against thus far.

Etheria's Secret

Season three saw Adora dive into her past, uncovering shocking secrets about her past. This season's synopsis revealed that Etheria itself has a secret waiting to be revealed.

What could it possibly be and how does it tie into the powers of She-Ra herself? Whatever it is, hopefully, it is something that gives the Resistance a significant asset in the coming battle against Horde Prime, because they will need all the help they can get.

Season 4 of 'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power' releases on November 5 on Netflix.
