Sharon Osbourne ‘bitterly disappointed about nightmare’ exit from ‘The Talk’, says source: ‘It’s a big stitch-up'
The news of Sharon Osbourne quitting 'The Talk', CBS' morning talk show, following a scandal that resulted from Osbourne supporting her friend Piers Morgan has gone viral. So has details of the former show host's terms that were signed before she left the show.
Now, it has been revealed Osbourne is "bitterly disappointed" about quitting the show. The reality TV star "decided to leave" 'The Talk' on March 26. While initially it was reported that she had received a million-dollar payout, and had also not signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), it seems that the former host is not too happy about the outcome of the negotiations with the network.

A source close to Osbourne was quoted by US Weekly as saying, "Sharon is bitterly disappointed at how it all played out." The source also added, "Her whole career has been based on not holding back, speaking her mind and championing free speech — so to be classified or perceived as a bigot or a racist is a sickening scenario and an utter nightmare for her, especially since she insists up and down it’s all a pack of lies and that’s the last thing she is."
It has also been reported that the former host was “trying to see all the positives” and has since surrounded herself with close friends and allies of whom many have told her that she will “bounce back 10 times stronger.” Osbourne has been with the talk show since 2010 and the source said, "Her family is supporting her too and it tears them all apart seeing her suffer like this," adding, "They think it’s a big stitch-up and she’s been hung out to dry for something she hasn’t done or believed in."
This is a result of the backlash that 'The Talk' received after the March 10 episode aired in which Osbourne is seen arguing with her fellow host Sheryl Underwood about how Morgan was not racist. She asks Underwood what about Morgan's comments were racist and that is despite Underwood iterating that the British show host's comments were indeed racist. Following this, the show went on an unplanned hiatus when an internal investigation was said to have taken place. At this time, Leah Remini, who had also been a host of 'The Talk', revealed that she had heard Osbourne use both racial and homophobic slurs in the past.
The source said about Osbourne, "She knows some people will now hate her forever no matter what, plus in many respects, she’ll have to start from scratch once the whole mess dies down," and added, "She’s decided to take a breather for a while and see where the chips fall once the dust settles. In the meantime, she’s distraught and angry, trying to digest this tornado that’s come from nowhere and turned her life upside down."
