‘Shark Tank’: Fans and fellow investor Robert Herjavec call out Mark Cuban for being 'arrogant and intimidating'
'Shark Tank' shark Mark Cuban's limited tolerance for poor pitches is well known. He has time and again roasted entrepreneurs who appeared on the show with poorly researched pitches, as the fellow sharks watched him tear down a poor entrepreneur. But on the premiere episode of 'Shark Tank' Season 11, fellow shark Robert Herjavec stood up to him and called him out for his arrogant attitude and intimidating nature.
It all began when Mark wasn't convinced with one of the pitches presented on the show for a snack bar which claims to help the consumer lose weight. The pitch was very confusing and misleading, Mark kept poking holes in their presentation from the get-go. The 'Dallas Mavericks' owner wasn't convinced with the science behind the product and the presenters who were pitching the idea kept contradicting their own claims, much to Mark's annoyance. When the other sharks tried to understand the pitch and the product better Mark kept yelling that they were "investing in air." Finally, an agitated Robert called out Mark saying that his arrogance was unbelievable and his persona comes off as intimidating. Robert then goes on to complain that he couldn't understand the product because Mark wouldn't allow the presenters to talk.
Fans too appear to agree with Robert as they expressed a similar opinion about the 'Shark Tank' investor on social media. A fan wrote, "#SharkTank Mark Cuban that was horrible!!! I agree with @robertherjavec. Your arrogance was disgusting. To have an opinion is one thing but to force it on others?!?!?! Wow. This might be my first and last show to watch this season." Another fan who appears to be done with Mark's poor attitude tweeted, "So episodes like tonight's Shark Tank lead me to believe that all the stories I hear about Mark Cuban being a SOB are absolutely true. I really dislike him more every season." Several fans want Mark out of the show as they feel his negativity is too painful to watch. A fan tweeted, "When is the shark tank going to be OUT on Mark Cuban, negativity is a beat down."
Mark further hurt his chances of being a fan-favorite shark when in the midst of negotiation he firmly declared that he doesn't do any "charities." Fans couldn't believe the high-profile investor's audacity to shoot down philanthropy in such a terrible manner. A fan wrote, "Mark from Shark Tank is the pure reason for poverty and world hunger."
New episodes of 'Shark Tank' season 11 air at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
