‘Shark Tank’: Who is Cassidy Crowley? How 10-year-old ‘The Baby Toon’ founder grabbed $50,000 deal with Lori Greiner

10-year-old Cassidy Crowley has fans feeling like "underachievers" after she managed to secure investment from a shark on 'Shark Tank'.
UPDATED JAN 23, 2021

‘Shark Tank’ ABC’s entrepreneurial-based reality show draws some of the most innovative entrepreneurs with some interesting ideas, and the show’s season 11 premiere episode was no different. The lineup of the premiere episode was very impressive, to say the least. There was one entrepreneur though who managed to wow all the sharks, and one of the sharks gave up his seat for her and another offered to give his child’s hand to her in marriage. In case you’re wondering who the lucky recipient is, it is none other than 10-year-old Cassidy Crowley who appeared on the show with her mother Lori all the way from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Cassidy wowed the judges with her brilliant pitch for a baby-feeding spoon company called ‘The Baby Toon’. This child entrepreneur managed to floor the judges with her knowledge and practicality when she explained the unique silicone spoon. She was pitching for a $50,000 and a 50% stake in her company. When one of the sharks asked her why she was pitching for such a high stake, Cassidy reminded the judges that she is just 10 years old and needs a partner.

Her charm, wit and, most importantly, her entrepreneurial spirit had guest judge Daniel Lubtezky on his knees. Although he didn’t invest in her company, he saw so much potential in this bright young girl that he openly offered her son’s hand for marriage to her if she wanted it when she grows up. It wasn’t just Daniel who was taken by the girl’s charms, even Kevin O’Leary wanted to impress the kid so he got up from his chair and offered it to the little girl, who revealed that it was her biggest dream to be on the show.

Cassidy managed to bag investment from Lori Greiner. Lori couldn’t get enough of the girl’s entrepreneurial spirit and wanted to be there with her along the ride. She tweeted, “Have you ever seen a more impressive 10-year-old??!! #SharkTank @ABCSharkTank @TheBabyToon”.

While fans are definitely in awe of Cassidy’s impressive pitching and entrepreneurial skills, they can’t help but feel like “underachievers”, after seeing this child’s impressive accomplishments. A fan wrote, “Watching #SharkTank & a 10-year-old just made a deal for her company & a product she invented and created in first grade. Holy fuck, I’ve never quite felt like this much of an underachiever before.” Another fan tweeted, “If seeing a 10-year-old entrepreneur on Shark Tank doesn’t motivate you to become one, then I don’t know man....” “This 10-year-old girl just made a deal with the sharks...what is wrong with my life lmao #sharktank”, wrote a fan.

New episodes of 'Shark Tank' season 11 air at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
