LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Berlyn Haughton, a mother from Fresno has come up with a solution to make dining out or at home easier for parents with children.

The Table Tyke is designed to keep your child safe during meals and make cleaning up easier. The detachable feature prevents spills and can be easily stored when not in use.

The Table Tyke is a woman-owned small company that aims to make products that make life easier for adults and keep children safe, ultimately leading to more enjoyment for everyone.

This innovative placemat, which was invented by a mother who needed a solution, has completely transformed how parents eat with their children by making it much easier and less stressful.

However, it looks like the viewers couldn't connect with Haughton's silicone mat designed specifically for babies as they are tired of seeing silicone baby products on 'Shark Tank' and they want to see some new innovative products on the show now.

An X user shared, "The Table Tyke is the 3rd silicone mat for babies to get onto #sharktank We need new ideas!"

Another user went on to say, "This woman should be marketing this table bumper to convalescent care facilities and nursing homes in addition to the parents of small children. Those people make a mess also. "

In addition to this, the 'Shark Tank' fans continued debating over The Table Tyke on Reddit as well.

One Reddit user said, "Another silicone mat for babies. But the other one had toys attached to it. And I remember one they ate Cheerios from too. The bumper is new though."

A user penned, "At the end of the day it’s a rubber mat. She needs a full lineup of products to grow her sales."

Followed by a user who commented, "This is the 3rd silicone mat for babies. I’m surprised they keep recycling the same concept over and over."

A comment read, "At the end of the day it’s a rubber mat. She needs a full lineup of products to grow her sales."

Berlyn Haughton took The Table Tyke from TikTok fame to 'Shark Tank'

While having a chat with ABC30, Berlyn talked about how she came up with The Table Tyke, she said, "When our boys were younger, especially at that 6-month age when they're kinda just bobbing around, they'd always hit their mouth on the table edge. My husband and I would literally take turns holding our hand across the table edge, so the boys wouldn't hit their mouth."

When Berlyn couldn't find a placemat to use, she decided to make her own called The Table Tyke.

Berlyn has a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from Loyola Marymount  University.

The Fresno native added, "The bumper protects them from table edge bumps and if they're teething because the bumper is raised, and we have raised edges as well. If they do spill, their lap stays dry. Your table edge stays protected, and then all the fun sort of stays contained. Then you can pick it up, walk to the sink, and shake it out."

She showcased the same in her debut TikTok video. She stated that she casually placed her phone on top of a bottle of olive oil and discussed a mat.

She didn't pay much attention to it and was surprised when she started receiving numerous order notifications.

On its first day, the video linked to The Table Tyke website was viewed more than 300,000 times.

Berlyn has a come long way from TikTok to 'Shark Tank.'

The Table Tyke is a mat designed for babies' playtime and mealtime

The Table Tyke featured on 'Shark Tank' is a silicone placemat designed by Berlyn who is committed to making life more convenient for adults and ensuring the safety of children. The mat has been created for the baby's playtime and mealtime.

Berlyn was inspired to create The Table Tyke because she faced challenges when dining out or at home with her young boys.

She remembers that when her boys were around 6 months old, they would often accidentally hit their mouths on the table edge.

This common issue motivated her to develop a solution that would not only prevent babies from getting hurt by table edges but also offer additional advantages.

The Table Tyke has a special bumper that keeps children safe from accidental bumps and also helps with teething by having raised edges.
