Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently spoke out about being 'disgruntled' with his team and not wanting to return to the same. He even has his preferred list of teams he'd like to join, among which are the Denver Broncos.

Out of the three teams he mentioned, many fans believe the reason behind him wanting to join the Denver Broncos is because Rodgers' fiancée actress Shailene Woodley happens to reside in Boulder Colorado. First linked in early 2021, the 37-year-old athlete and the 29-year-old actress went public and announced their engagement.

"2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans," he said after being named the 2021 MVP at the NFL Honors Awards. "I got engaged and I played some of the best football of my career."

Aaron Rodgers #12 of the Green Bay Packers celebrates scoring his first running touchdown of the season in the 2nd quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lambeau Field on November 15, 2020 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The quarterback expressed his desire to make a move while talking to ESPN about the same. Adam Schefter of ESPN put out a tweet, confirming the same. "Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday. More on NFL Live now...." he tweeted.

A follow-up confirmation of Rodgers' wishlist came shortly after from an 'unimpeachable source,' with Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packer being his picks. "From unimpeachable source: As of last night, Aaron Rodgers’ wish list was 49ers, Broncos, Raiders (not necessarily in that order). He wanted Packers to take the 49ers’ offer. Next move by Rodgers is TBD," tweeted ProFootballTalk.

Although Rodgers hasn't spoken out about the reason behind his choices, football fans were quick to make the connection, seeing that his fiancée resides in Boulder, Colorado. Woodley even spoke about her engagement in February on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,' as reported by USA Today .' She confirmed that the two of them had been engaged for a while at that point.

"It's not new news, you know? So it's kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while,'" she explained. "I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living,” she said on the talk show.

“Like, I never thought as a little girl, I was like, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it," the actress added.

Football fans took to Twitter to discuss the same. "Fun little side plot: Aaron Rodgers has been spotted in Boulder with fiancée Shailene Woolley several times over the last couple weeks," tweeted a user.

"Guys, does anyone think #AaronRodgers wants out of GB because his fiancé had no idea what he did for a living and doesnt want to freeze her ass off in GB? Spitballing here," speculated another. "Aaron Rodgers wants to host Jeopardy! and live in his Malibu beach house with his Hollywood actress fiance," added another.

While many are calling out Woodley for being the alleged reason behind the possible switch, many users also came swiftly to her defense. "Blaming Shailene Woodley for the actions of a 37 y/o, spoiled, grown-ass man?????? sweetie, your misogyny is showing!" tweeted a user.

"Y’all better leave Shailene Woodley alone. It’s not her fault Aaron Rodgers wants to leave Green Bay. Maybe he’s exhausted from carrying your team for years," added another. "So people blaming Shailene Woodley for Aaron Rodgers for diva stop blaming women this is misogynistic and sexist and sexism and please stop blaming women and stop making jokes about women," said a user.

A few angry fans just couldn't believe trolls blaming her. "Last I checked Aaron Rodgers was always a bit of diva. Why drag Shailene Woodley into this??? Don't give me that 'she saw the winters in Green Bay' crap. Rodgers is a California boy and he 'adjusted'. And this is coming from a football AND Shailene Woodley fan," one said.

Another posted, "I Can't Believe This Needs To Be Said: Stop Blaming Women For The Shit That Men Do. Aaron Rodgers Is A Grown Ass Man. Stop Blaming Shailene Woodley for His Shit. If He Wants To Leave Green Bay, It's His Decision. Stop Blaming The Woman." A third chimed in, "Y’all better leave Shailene Woodley alone. It’s not her fault Aaron Rodgers wants to leave Green Bay. Maybe he’s exhausted from carrying your team for years."

Rodgers has not mentioned any specific reason behind the Denver Broncos making it to his wishlist.
