Quibi recently announced the roster of shows they would be releasing as their launch special on April 6. While all the shows looked very interesting and promising, one particular show caught our attention — 'Sexology with Shan Boodram'. The press release for the show reveals that sex education expert Shan Boodram aka Shan Boody will answer her audience’s pressing questions about their relationships, dating life and yes, sex.

In case you are wondering who Shan is, then allow us to introduce this internet celebrity. With over 50M views on her YouTube channel and a bestselling book to her credit, Shan is no stranger to the field of sex education. In fact, in her book 'The Game of Desire', Shan's encouragement of women to wear their vaginal fluid as perfume instantly became a major talking point among various experts.

Aside from urging women to do such strange things, she also talks extensively about women and the way they have been conditioned to think about relationships. Shan explains how women are driven to do things that don't make them happy and then they spend the rest of their life trying to convince themselves that they are happy.

She says, "I think people (women) just feel like there's this, I want to say the word 'dichotomy'. Essentially they are driven towards something that's not making them happy and they are trying to reconcile that. So they are in a sexual relationship with someone where the sex isn't great or they are pursuing somebody romantically that makes them feel like a less version of themselves or makes them feel sad and isolated and lonely and, but the feelings are there. Or they are in a romantic relationship where they think they are supposed to be happy, but they are just not. Like they do all the things and yet I just don't feel that fire for them. So I think that people don't understand that they've got choices and options. I think that people think, again, like if I want to do something that must mean I meant to do it."

Shan is in a unique position to understand the struggles of black women in the dating world, thanks to her biracial background. Shan firmly believes that the dating game is not in the favor of black women. She draws a comparison between how white men are looked up to as a symbol of love interest thanks to the mental schema we have in our heads about how our love interest should look like. According to her, this schema needs to be learnt when it comes to viewing black women as potential love interest because people are not taught that.

Shan will share her unique and interesting insights on her Quibi talk show, and also advise her audience on various topics related to dating and relationships.

You can catch 'Sexology with Shana Boodram' after Quibi's launch on April 6.
