Sex slave priest Peter Miqueli who stole $1M from Bronx parish for kinky sessions found dead at New Jersey home
Disgraced 'sex slave' priest Peter Miqueli was found dead in his New Jersey home, the authorities revealed. Miqueli had been accused of embezzling $1M from his Bronx parish in order to fund kinky sessions along with his S&M "master".
According to the Brick Township police, the 57-year-old died at his home, NY Post reports. The authorities have not revealed any further details but have said that the Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office is handling the case. In 2015, Miqueli had resigned as a pastor at the St Frances de Chantal parish located in Throggs Neck.
He was accused of stealing money to keep paying for his $1000 per S&M session with his "master" Keith Crist. A civil lawsuit that was brought by parishioners claimed Crist would "force Father Maqueli to drink Keith Crist’s urine". They further claimed that Miqueli had spent around $60,000 of the stolen money on "illicit and prescription drugs". It is reported that he had used the cash to purchase his $264,000 home in Brick and to pay his 'master's' rent.
Miqueli's brother, Joseph, said he did not know what led to the death. He said, "I don’t know what happened to my brother. They won’t even tell me where they found him, how they found him." The two brothers have been out of contact for years and are among 12 siblings. Joseph revealed that no matter what, he always texted Miqueli on his birthday. "No matter what he did, he was still my brother and I still love him," Joseph said.
A 2015 report from NY Post revealed that Miqueli had also wanted to sleep with Crist's ex-girlfriend, Tatyana Gudin. Miqueli would frequently pester his bisexual lover to ask his girlfriend to join them in a threesome. In an email to Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Gudin had written, "Keith told me to pretend that I didn’t know Miqueli was really (a) priest. When Miqueli met me for the first time, he told Keith he thought I was pretty. Miqueli started asking Keith to try to pull me into their perverted sex games. I, of course, declined."
Gudin also revealed how Miqueli had become extremely enraged when he learned that she and Crist were more than roommates. "Keith had to sneak around the priest’s back when we were dating," she shared. "I was getting very disgusted by that and told Keith that I’m not going to be ‘the other woman’ behind a gay, embezzling priest’s back, but Keith begged me to just deal with it," she continued.
The New York Archdiocese spokesman Joseph Zwilling said via email, "We have been working on this for many months. Cardinal Dolan has been personally involved, but because conversations (were) between the cardinal and one of his priests, I cannot reveal the details of those discussions." A sibling of Miqueli had told the Post had he had always been a bit 'suspicious' that his brother could have been gay but had never expected there to be such allegations against him.
Miqueli's sibling, Richie Miqueli, said, "Who would expect that? It’s disgusting. If my father was alive, I don’t know what he’d be thinking."
