NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Senator John Fetterman recently made an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and had a little something to say about the people “America is sending to DC.”
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity shared this clip of Senator Fetterman, or as Hannity likes to call him, “perpetual sweatshirt wearer.”

John Fetterman talks about Washington, DC
On ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, host Stephen Colbert and Senator John Fetterman discussed the infamous dress code. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had announced that staff for the chamber’s Sergeant-at-Arms, the Senate’s official clothes police, will no longer enforce a dress code on the Senate floor.
This change came out after Fetterman “unapologetically wore shorts as he went about his duties,” reported AP News.
As Colbert and Fetter discussed the dress code, Colbert gifted the Senator a casual t-shirt with a tuxedo on it.
Colbert asked, “Is it awkward to be in the Capitol and then run into people you have put a devasting meme about? Because you got excellent meme game?”
The host continued, “But then you have to see these people in the cafeteria.”
Fetterman paused for a moment as he gathered his thoughts, “You all need to know that America is not sending their best and brightest to Washington, DC.”
The Senator continued, “Sometimes you literally just can’t believe that these are the people making the decisions that are determining the government here, it’s actually scary.”
