The star-studded, uplifting series, features the network’s immensely popular twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott as they help each award-winning celebrity with a special renovation."
Kick-starting Season 4 is none other than comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, who wants to repay her best friend Selena Martin, who has been by her side for 20 years. As per the episode synopsis, "Tiffany Haddish wants to return her best friend's unconditional love and support with the stylish home makeover she deserves. With Jonathan and Drew's help, Tiffany gets down with the demo to make sure her friend's new five-star pad is on point!"

Who is Selena Martin?
Selena Martin is Tiffany Haddish's long-term best friend, seeing that they have known each other since they were children. Haddish even thanked Martin back in 2018 when she received the best-supporting-actress prize from the New York Film Critics Circle. The 18-minute speech she made had everyone in the room feeling emotional and Martin was the first person she thanked, for always being by her side, no matter what. "My best friend, Selena. I’ve known you since we were 12 years old. I walked up to you like, “You’re going to be my friend” and you was like “What?” And you’re still my friend." Haddish had said in her speech, as reported by Vanity Fair.
"And she never tried to kick me to the curb, and that means she laughed at all my stupid jokes. Told me when I was doing too much, told me when I was doing just enough, and told me when to do more, and I appreciate you for that," she added.
Haddish nominated Martin to have her home renovated, seeing that her kitchen, living area, and guest bathroom could use a much-needed update. Martin lives with her two kids and animals, so Haddish hoped to give her friend's home an update that takes into account durability, functionality, and style.
“This is my best friend and someone that I care about tremendously,” Haddish said in a press article. “I love how we take care of each other and this is my way of taking care of her,” she added. And while Martin has always had everyone's back, Tiffany now wants her to know that she deserves just as much as she gives. “My friend deserves the best,” added Tiffany. “She sacrifices for so many people and she does such awesome things for others. I feel like this is the least I could do for her,” she added.
'Celebrity IOU' airs on Mondays at 9 pm ET/PT on HGTV. The top-rated cable show will also be available for streaming on Discovery+. Twelve more episodes of the series are set to air in late 2022.
