Bernie McGee of 'Seeking Sister Wife' dies aged 41 after suffering heat stroke and heart attack
Bernie McGee of 'Seeking Sister Wife' passed away on Saturday after reportedly suffering from a heat stroke and heart attack when he was out riding his bicycle. He had called his wife Paige McGee to let her know that he was not feeling too well. She headed out to accompany him back home, however, it was too late by then.
According to TV Shows Ace, the news portal that first reported McGee's death, a closed Facebook group post read, "It was just confirmed personally that with a sad and heavy heart Bernie McGee, Paige's love of her life, passed away. Please send love and prayers to their family at this time!!” At first, there was not a lot of information out and fans wanted to know more.
Blogger John Yates also shared a screenshot of the post shared by Paige in which she wrote, "Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Bernie was out riding his bicycle and called me, saying he wasn't feeling well and to come pick him up. By the time I got there, EMTs were working on him, but I could already tell. The coroner said he had a heat stroke/heart attack. Please [bear] with me. I will respond as I can."
According to a report from People, TLC's statement said, "Our hearts go out to the McGee family following the loss of husband and father Bernie McGee. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.”
A Go Fund Me page was also set up for McGee's memorial fund. The fund description read, "Bernie and Paige McGee loved each other and their children unconditionally. Always helping others even though they were fighting their own battles. After losing everything to a house fire they were just beginning to get everything back together again. Unfortunately, they faced the worst sudden devastation that shocked many, Saturday, June 15. Paige received a call from Bernie while he was riding his bicycle to let her know he wasn't feeling well. Paige immediately went to get him but by the time she reached him EMS had to tell her what no wife and mother is ever prepared to hear."
