Second GOP Debate: Tim Scott slams Vivek Ramaswamy for taking ‘millions of dollars’ from China just like Hunter Biden
SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA: Senator Tim Scott slammed biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy for "taking millions of dollars from the Chinese Communist Party" just like President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden during the GOP presidential debate on Wednesday, September 27.
During the second GOP presidential debate, Senator Scott responded to Ramaswamy’s claims from the first GOP debate where he claimed that all the candidates except for him were “bought and paid for.”
Scott took his chance and accused Ramaswamy of being in bed with the Chinese Communist Party by taking money from them. He reminded Ramaswamy that he’s just like his 'friend' Hunter, who acted similarly.

Scott began his statement by praising Ramaswamy for calling each candidate a “good person”
However, this wasn’t the only thought that Scott had on his mind. He called out Ramaswamy’s hypocrisy and accused him of being in "business with the Chinese Communist Party".
Scott reminded Ramaswamy that he labeled his peers as “bought and paid for” when he himself was a pawn for the Chinese.
“I can’t imagine how you can say that when you were just in business with the Chinese Communist Party and the same people that funded Hunter Biden millions of dollars who is a partner of yours as well," he said.

Ramaswamy called this argument total “nonsense” and decided to respond immediately but his efforts were cut off when Scott and Ron DeSantis started talking over him.
The moderator had to intervene to calm the nerves, allowing Ramaswamy to make his defensive argument.
The entrepreneur said that his company was the first to leave China, unlike others, but Scott began to talk over him again and thwarted his chance of responding to the allegation.

Of the few big talking points on the night, one was Ramaswamy’s take on transgenderism. He said, “Let’s be clear about one thing. Transgenderism especially in kids is a mental health disorder. We have to acknowledge the truth of that.”
His statement was praised by the audience who gave a thunderous clap in agreement.

Ramaswamy continued, “Parents have the right to know” and concluded, “I'm sorry, it is not compassionate to affirm a kid's confusion. That is not compassion, that is cruelty.”
He was deemed “valiant” and “strong” by some netizens for addressing this issue head on.
