NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: During an event in California this week, former President George W Bush reportedly cautioned against ambivalence during the Israel-Gaza conflict after being asked for his thoughts on the war in Israel and the horrific acts by Hamas terrorists.

It was reported that over 1,300 individuals lost their lives in Israel following an attack initiated by Hamas last Saturday, which also involved the abduction of approximately 150 individuals, including certain US citizens.

In response, Israel conducted a series of airstrikes, and according to Palestinian officials, the casualties among Palestinians have exceeded 1,500, based on Hannity's report. Israel contends that this number incorporates hundreds of Hamas combatants.

Following this event, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to update more on ex-POTUS’s comments.

However, the internet did not respond positively to Hannity’s tweet as he faced backlash from several people.

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “You’re dealing with cold-blooded killers,” Bush said of Hamas. “You can make all kinds of excuses why they are, but they are.”

Hannity’s tweet also featured an article from its official website titled, “BURNING BUSH! 'My View is One Side is Guilty, and it’s Not Israel!'”

In the article, there’s a video clip of Bush’s speech at a California event where he said, “My view is: One side is guilty, and it’s not Israel.”

He continued referring to Hamas, “You’re dealing with cold-blooded killers. You can make all kinds of excuses why they are, but they are.”

The former president expressed his anticipation that “it’s not going to take long” before people start saying, "It’s gone on too long. Surely, there’s a way to settle this through negotiations. Both sides are guilty.”

Bush firmly reiterated his stance that, “negotiating with killers is not an option.” He emphasized that the responsibility of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to “protect his country.”

Internet callsSean Hannity a ‘puppet’

Soon after Sean Hannity's tweets on George W Bush's thoughts about the Israel war, trolls quickly flooded the Fox News anchor’s comment section.

One person wrote, “Sean, I respected your thoughts up until about a year ago…now I realize that you’re just another MSM hack! I’m tired of people like you…”

The same person further wrote, “Why can’t we have some honest, direct journalists? The one-sidedness is clear. Quit chasing the money, and start following the truth!”

Another called out Hannity, saying, “Hannity is a murdoch puppet,” and one more added, “Hannity is carrying FOX Woke agenda. #boycottHannity.”

A person simply lashed at Hannity, “You're trash, no better than MSNBC or CNN,” as one more said, “You're a loser Sean. An authoritarian leaning, war mongering loser.”

A sixth took a brutal jibe at Hannity, writing, “I wanted some intellectually engaging content, so I turned Hannity off and watched cat videos on YouTube.”
