‘SEAL Team’ Season 3 Episode 19: Will Sonny stay in Texas or go back to the Bravo Team after his dad's advice?
'SEAL Team' delved deeper into the risk of terrorism and a past connection with the Bravo Team this week. Titled 'In The Blind', the episode had its tense and emotional moments but, on a lighthearted note, it reflected on Sonny Quinn's (AJ Buckley) life.
After Sonny was deployed to Texas, his father, Emmet (John Savage), and his childhood friend, Hannah (Rachel Brown), are back in his life. Bitter and torn at first, he took his time to adjust, and now, he seems to have finally started feeling happy about being back. In a heartwarming scene, he tells his friend, "Maybe sometimes you need to leave a place to fully appreciate it," and adds, "Guess I'm where I'm supposed to be."
Looking at his newfound joy, should he stay back in Texas? Towards the end of the episode, Sonny finally shares a powerful moment with his dad, where the latter tells him: "Those brothers deserve you more than me. They made you the man you are now." After that scene, fans can't stop wondering if Sonny will come back to the Bravo Team soon.
"Sonny’s dad doesn’t want him to stay. Go back to Bravo!" one said and another posted, "This is a very powerful moment between Sonny and his father. #SealTeam." One even went on to say, "Sonny doesn't have to move home to have a relationship with his father #SEALTeam."
"Sonny's HOME is Bravo #SEALTeam," one viewer posted and another said, "#SEALTeam Sonny's dad is right. Being back home is just a walk down memory lane." One said, "I get the urge to go home but I don’t want Sonny to leave the team. Maybe he can visit more. #RenewSEALTeam #SEALTeam," and another wrote, "Please get Sonny back where he belongs. I’d feel better with him in the fight. He gets it! #SEALTeam."
It's clear that fans feel the Bravo Team could do much better if Sonny was back. But that leaves us with two questions if he decides to return: What about his relationship with Hannah and will he get back with Lisa Davis (Toni Trucks), who seems to have found someone new?
The new episode of 'SEAL Team' airs next Wednesday on CBS and it might answer all the questions.
