'SEAL Team' Season 3: Clay cops an attitude with new joinee Vic, but he may find a new mentor in the US Ambassador

No sooner was episode five of 'SEAL Team' Season 3 aired, fans have been posting how Clay Spenser needs to get a hold on his slick attitude.
UPDATED OCT 31, 2019

Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.) and Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot) go on a mission to protect an unconventional US ambassador named Marsden (Khandi Alexander) as episode five of 'SEAL Team' Season 3 rolls in and the latter has definitely got an attitude problem. When Bravo Team got a new member Vic Lopez (Lucca De Oliveira), Ray welcomed him and let him select his weapons but Clay met Vic and blatantly told him that he didn't "pick" him for the team.

No sooner was the episode aired, fans have been posting how Clay needs to get a hold on his slick attitude. "Clay needs a huge attitude adjustment #SEALTeam like someone needs to talk some sense into him and he needs to listen," one fan wrote. "Clay so disrespectful calling him 2nd best like that and yelling at him when he was being so nice. Dead wrong," one Twitter posted and another one wrote, "Clay needs to drop his attitude #SEALTeam."

"Wow take it easy on the new guy Clay Spenser @maxthieriot remember you were in that position before," one viewer posted. Another fan wrote: "Give him a chance Clay #SEALTeam like you were given a chance like how Ray fought for you when you were a newbie."

Later in the episode, Clay could be seen getting along with the US ambassador. After the fifth episode aired, SEAL Team writers quizzed onlookers whether Clay could have a new mentor in US ambassador Marsden. "People don't really appreciate a maverick streak," he tells in one scene to Marsden to which she replies, "Something tells me you like making waves too."

One fan posted, "She MIGHT just be able to get through to him #SEALTeam," and another fan added, "Maybe, that could lead to a new storyline to address the addition to the newbie; so Clay can address TBI without getting hammered by a chain of command." One tweet read: "I think Clay respects and understands the Ambassador #SEALTeam," and another said, "Who knows what Clay Spenser @maxthieriot is thinking."

As episode six airs on CBS next Wednesday, November 6, it might shed light on whether Ray and Clay make their way out safely and Clay finally gets a hold on his attitude.
