Scott Disick admits he's struggling to deal with his parents' death who passed away within 3 months of each other
Scott Disick lost his mother Bonnie in 2013, after being ill for a long time while his father Jeff died of unknown causes in 2014.
The 36-year-old Disick has admitted that he has been finding it very difficult to deal with the loss of both his parents who died within three months of each other especially since his children have begun to ask questions about them.
While on Thursday's episode of 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' Disick opened up about the loss of his parents for the first time and said, "it was too hard to talk about". Disick has three children with his former partner and 'KUWTK' star Kourtney Kardashian, 41, Daily Mail reports.
He got candid about how he has been dealing with some personal struggles. Kim Kardashian was seen visiting Disick at home when he confessed to her that his children- Penelope, Mason, and Reign, have started to ask about his late parents Bonnie and Jeff Disick.
Disick has been struggling to revisit their memories as he was very close to them. "Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about, It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them," he said.
While footage of Disick's parents attending his bar mitzvah was shown, he had called up his father's best friend Dave Hacker and had asked him to visit the next time he came to California. Disick called Dave "the quintessential fake-uncle" who visited and had dinner with Kim, Khloé, Scott, and Scott's children: Reign, five, Penelope, seven, and Mason, 10.
Dave shared that as a child, Disick was "good at everything" and "fearless" like his son Reign. The two had not met in around four or five years and Dave said that it was because his presence was another reminder of Disick's loss. "It was almost like losing someone in a car accident," Dave said. "We had no closure. It was hard."
While speaking in a confessional Disick opened up and said, "I think when my parents passed, it was too hard to talk about."
"As much as I was dreading looking through some of these old photos, because I thought it was gonna bring up sad memories… the truth is, it's brought up so many amazing memories, and things that I forgot. I think the more I talk about my parents, the more my kids will remember them, and feel connected to them," he revealed.
Khloe Kardashian spoke about how Disick walks away when it gets too much for him. "I wish Scott didn’t get like this. I wish he would either talk about how he’s feeling, or I think the more he does talk about his parents, the easier it will get. And it’s fun to talk about memories. You don’t want your parents to just disappear."
Disick and his baby mama Kourtney Kardashian have a very unique relationship. While the two are no longer together, they continue to co-parent their three children. The two had dated on and off between 2006 and 2015 before calling it off for good.
