Trump will 'go quietly' if he loses to Biden, claims Anthony Scaramucci: 'He actually hates the f***ing job'

Scaramucci thinks Trump will not want to stick around as he doesn't enjoy the 'pain in the a**' of being in the White House

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has claimed President Donald Trump will "go quietly" if he loses to Joe Biden on November 3 because he "hates the f***ing job." After spending 18 months working directly with Trump, 'The Mooch' -- as he's endearingly referred to -- thinks he doesn't expect the Republican leader to stay in power after losing the election.

The 2020 campaign trail has seen Trump heavily focus on the possibility of the election being rigged. He has also hinted the election could be ultimately decided by the Supreme Court and thereby urged GOP lawyers to start preparing a case to that effect. Speaking to The Sun, however, Scaramucci rebuffed forecasts of civil war and nationwide unrest. "The odds are, he leaves and he leaves peacefully," he said.

The Mooch was sacked by the president after serving only eleven days as the White House communications director, and has since gone on to be critical of his former boss. In fact, he is reportedly leading a movement of Republicans who are openly backing Democrat presidential nominee Biden. “I think I am in the contrarian camp," Scaramucci told the British newspaper. "Everyone says he isn’t going to go quietly and that there is going to be a shootout over this, and stuff like that - but that isn’t Trump’s personality. His personality is bluster and saying things, but he really isn’t a doer that way. I think he will bow out."

In order to stay in power, Trump would need the support of the US military -- and that is completely unrealistic because he isn't "Hitler" or "Mussolini", the Mooch said, adding that it was also "unlikely" there would be violence from Trump's most hardcore supporters if he lost. On the other hand, Scaramucci thinks Trump will not want to stick around as he doesn't enjoy the "pain in the a**" of being in the White House. "He is a showman, but he actually hates the f***ing job. Barack Obama has him read perfectly," Scaramucci told The Sun. "He doesn’t like the arduous nature of the job. He doesn’t like the pain in the a**.”

The Mooch said he was surprised Trump didn't resign mid-term amid the impeachment scandal. However, he predicted the former real estate mogul will probably take a break and set up a media company, and that he would likely use his newfound influence to boost his businesses. "He will create that narrative that he made America great, and it was the pandemic that cost him more than anything else", Scaramucci added.

Speaking of his time working in the White House, Scaramucci said Trump's mood changed shortly after he won the 2016 election. "He was light and gregarious during the campaign - relatively relaxed. Trump did not think he was going to win," he recalled. “He tightened once he won, in the beginning phase it was somewhat nervousness - then he became emboldened and started eliminating people from the White House." Speaking of those that were fired, Scaramucci said the "the one thing they had in common is that none-of-them were beholden to him."
