Louise, 28, has spent most of her days indoors because she is afraid to step out and catch people's attention. Louise suffers from a condition called eczema that tends to turn the skin itchy and red. Her condition has worsened over the years and she was forced to move in with her parents with the hope that things would be easier for her.

Louise first started realizing she has this condition when she was five years old. Ever since she had resorted to taking topical steroid cream hoping things would get better. Unfortunately, the result was not always positive. There were times when things would get out of hand and the doctors then would advise her to take cream with higher content value.

Eventually, there came a time when Louise thought that if she did not take the cream, her skin would soon start falling off. It was only later that she realized she was addicted to it. She realized the same through online research. Louise was scared knew that she had to stop using the cream.

However, getting rid of the cream did not help her skin. Lousie revealed that there are times when her skin crumbles and the dead skin can be seen on the floor and in her bed. She further revealed that there are times when she finds it hard to sleep as the skin will start oozing and itching.

At the same time, due to her condition, every morning she has to change her sheets because they would be covered and stained in blood, with skin stuck on the pillow. Her condition has severely affected her self-confidence and dating life.

Louise has been dating for a year but she often finds herself thinking that her boyfriend would be better off with someone else. She thinks she can't love someone else unless she loves herself. To make sure that she starts loving herself, Louise decides to meet Dr. Emma Craythorne with the hope that she can help her with her skin condition.

When Dr. Craythorne examined Louise's face, she realized that her skin was not moisturized and told her that there were chances it could get infected. Dr Craythorne advised her to wait for a couple of months to see how her skin turns out while adding that they would treat the skin if it is not experiencing any other change.

Louise returns after six months. Dr. Craythorne advises Louise to use topical cream and some antibiotics to get her it under control. She further reveals that she decided to opt for this treatment because Louise's skin had been infected.

However, Louise was scared to put her skin through the same thing all over again. However, Dr. Craythorne assured her that things would be different this time and urged her to take the antibiotics along with the cream. Louise agrees and hopes that she would get a positive result this time and fortunately, that is precisely what happened.

Louise meets Dr. Craythorne again and shows her skin that looked better than before. She readily agrees to continue with the treatment and hopes that her skin could be back to normal soon.

'Save My Skin' airs on Thursdays at 11 pm ET on TLC.
