Saudi teen who ran away from 'strict family' asks Trump to stop her from being sent back: 'They will kill me'
Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, 18, said that she escaped while her family was vacationing in Kuwait and that she was attempting to reach Australia to seek asylum
A teenager from Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, said that she was being held at Bangkok airport against her will after she attempted to flee her abusive family. The 18-year-old, identified as Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun, also claimed that she would be killed if she was forced to return to her family.
Qunun, in a series of tweets, pleaded for help saying authorities in Bangkok were planning to send her back to Saudi Arabia. "My family is strict and locked me in a room for six months just for cutting my hair," the teenager wrote on Twitter. "I’m sure 100 percent they will kill me as soon as I get out of Saudi jail.” She also posted videos from the airport.
