Kristen Wiig returned on 'Saturday Night Live' and this time, it was to bid goodbye to the show as the finale airs. Wiig had previously appeared on the show and had left everyone wishing for her return. Luckily for fans, the show decided to make their wish come true as Wiig brought in her goofy personality yet again.

The episode started with Wiig being shocked because she was chosen to host the show but it did not take her long enough to come out all dressed up and super excited to act as the host. Wiig's happiness could be seen on her face as she decided to flash her breasts before moving on to thanking her mother as Mother's Day is getting closer.

"I don’t know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life, but this year I’m feeling especially grateful — for her advice, her love. I’m so thankful for all of the things she taught me," she said. Wiig further added that her mother helped her become a good mother herself while adding that she taught her many things like breastfeeding.

“Babies love that chicken. She would always say that," she said while holding a plate with two chicken breasts on it. She further thanked "all the moms out there who have been helping us get through this and who have been there and who are watching over us". The actress also thanked all the dads who had been there for their children.

She ended her monologue by reciting a lullaby that her mother used to sing for her. Seeing Wiig back on the show, fans confessed they were happy to have her hosting the finale. Given her skits are a major hit on the show, fans had been wishing to see her one more time before the finale.

"Nice surprise they got Kristin Wiig to host the season finale episode. Her monologue was good and funny. Happy to see her back on the show," read one comment. Another added, "It's a bunch of non-sequiturs, but Kristen Wiig's monologue is good in places. Of course, there's a bit more self-indulgence with #SNLAtHome III so far. Not surprising, given it's SNL at home."

Another wrote, "That was a very Kristen Wiig monologue, in all meanings of that sentence. She gave it her all. (she's very funny in the soap spoof things Jimmy Fallon has done if you haven't seen those)."
