'Saturday Night Live': John Mulaney is impressed after meeting an improved 'zen' Pete Davidson
John Mulaney is back to host yet another episode of 'Saturday Night Live'. In the preview for the episode that is set to air on February 29, Mulaney was seen having an encounter with new Pete Davidson who has been trying to make the zen life, his life.
When Mulaney walks into Davidson's room, he is shocked to see him with his eyes closed and in a meditation posture. "What the hell’s going on here? Who’s that guy?" he asks. "That’s my guru," says Davidson as he explains that he is "working on my inner chakras".
Davidson gives an update on how he has been doing as he tells Mulaney, "I’m meditating, I’m getting sleepy, I had a dream for the first time last week. Things are great." He even informed Mulaney that he has gotten rid of his pet monkey because "believe it or not, having a monkey is illegal".
After engaging in this conversation, Davidson was all set to leave but it is then that Mulaney informed him that he will be hosting the SNL this weekend. Davidson is surprised but happy for his friend. Before leaving the room, Davidson wears an orange jacket that hints at his past self.
"Well John, you gotta give the people what they want," Davidson says while adding, "This guy knows show business!" As Davidson is all set to leave the room, Mulaney gives him one advice and tells him, "Hey Pete, there's some paparazzi outside, so be sure to act real stupid." To this Davidson replies, "Oh you know I will."
After watching this preview fans were all geared up to watch Mulaney on the show. "Cannot wait for their inevitable Weekend Update appearance this week!" read one comment. Another added, "Now you, @nbcsnl, ARE LISTENING. This is what we signed up for."
'Saturday Night Live' airs on Saturdays at 11.30 pm ET on NBC.
