In today's episode of 'Saturday Night Live', JJ Watt was chosen as the host and was accompanied by singer Luke Combs as the musical guest. The show kick-started talking about the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump and throughout the show kept the audience entertained with their various comedy skits.

However, towards the end of the show, JJ Watt made sure that he honored late basketball player Kobe Bryant by wearing his iconic '24' Lakers jersey. Kobe died on January 26, after his helicopter crashed. The crash also took the life of his 13-year-old daughter, Gigi Bryant, and other seven passengers who were on board.

The police has stated that the weather was one of the main reasons as to why the helicopter crashed. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. Kobe's death came as a shock to everyone and many took to their social media to express their condolences towards the Bryant family and others.

Recently, Kobe's wife, Vanessa Bryant broke her silence with regard to the death of her husband and daughter. Sharing a family picture she wrote, "My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri."

She further added, " I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever." Vanessa expressed that the family was trying to stay strong and make sense of the tragedy that had now become their reality.

The Lakers also paid tribute to Gigi and Kobe during the match as they left two seats empty with a jersey reading number "2", in honor of Gigi and another reading "24", in honor of Kobe. Vanessa acknowledged the sweet gesture and wrote, "There is no #24 without #2. "
