'Saturday Night Live' was back again with yet another episode with JJ Watt as the host while Luke Combs came in as the musical guest. Combs selected his song 'Lovin' On You' to sing. The singer had everyone grooving to his music but some of the viewers could not blind themselves to his actions while singing.

While singing one of the verses for his song, Combs represents "three" using his fingers but fans could not stop themselves from thinking that the country singer had made the "white power sign" during the performance. One of the main reasons that Combs started receiving heat from the fans was since the episode was the first during the Black History Month.

Many took to social media to call out the singer. "Luke Combs just flashed the white supremacist hand-sign during his performance on Saturday Night Live. Is that what you're into now, Lorne Michaels?" one user wrote. Another added, "Hey @lukecombs we saw your little white power stunt on SNL. Go f*ck yourself, you Nazi prick!" Another user echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "Shame on you @nbcsnl for having @lukecombs on and flashing whIte power - total bullshit."

However, some of them tried to defend the singer by suggesting that there is "three" in the lyrics of his song and Combs was just trying to imitate it. Nonetheless, many refused to accept it. While there were many who were angered by his performance, others thought that Combs delivered a good performance.

"Absolute blast to mix @lukecombs tonight on #SNL! Just folks playing real instruments and crushing it. Breath of fresh air..." read one comment. Another comment read, "luke combs nice performance on @SNL."

SNL kick-started their today's episode by taking a dig at President Donald Trump's impeachment trial by showcasing a trial of how it should have really happened. Alec Baldwin reprised his role as Trump and everyone was impressed with how the show decided to tackle the recent impeachment trial.

'Saturday Night Live' airs on Saturdays at 11:30 pm ET on NBC.
