'Saturday Night Live': Adam Driver's Kylo Ren returns disguised as Randy the intern and leaves fans in splits
'Saturday Night Live' fans were in for a treat as Adam Driver's Kylo Ren went undercover as 'Randy The Intern' in a sequel to 'Saturday Night Live' hit 'Star Wars Undercover Boss sketch'.
Earlier, he went undercover as a geeky-looking, radar technician named Matt with a blonde wig. And now, he posed as a beanie-wearing, goateed person named Randy.
According to the new sketch, after the destruction of the First Order's Starkiller Base in 'The Force Awakens', all Ren can think about is Rey. Randy is now determined to discover what Ren's followers really think of their leader.
Randy distributes Blue Star milk and is then ticked off by a First Order admiral (Beck Bennett), as he hasn't added Sarlaac cream. The beration goes on, till Ren uses his abilities to blast his head.
Later, Randy meets an intern at a party. Gifting her a helmet, Randy tells her, "Maybe one of these days you'll be as good a pilot as Kylo Ren." She rebuffs him and says "Kylo Ren? Nah, I want to fly like Luke Skywalker!"
He cuts her down with his red-bladed lightsaber and says, "Now you'll die like him too!" Fans are in splits over the sketch and are flooding social media with their reactions.
One tweeted, "This has been the best #SNL!! So funny. It had me in tears!! Adam was in every skit. Loved it!! Think the last time he was in 4 tops!"
Another wrote, "Dear dear @nbcsnl I haven’t been this happy since the 19th of December. #AdamDriver is a precious gift, thank you thank you thank you for making me laugh so hard that I cried."
"Loved #AdamDriver on tonight’s @nbcsnl show. Amazing job with the skits & left my stomach hurt," tweeted another.
A fan wrote, "#AdamDriver was a star as always on #SNL. #SaveBenSolo #BenSoloDeservesBetter #WeLoveBenSolo #Reylo." The hashtag #SaveBenSolo has been trending for a while, as the character faced an untimely end at the end of 'Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker'.
