'Only thin people are graceful': Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza was afraid of becoming 'fat'
Newly-released documents from the Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza's childhood have revealed that he had a difficult time at school and battled anorexic thoughts, according to reports. The 20-year-old took his own life after killing 20 school children, six staff members and his mother in Sandy Hook, Connecticut in December 2012. The incident was deemed as one of the most horrific mass shootings in the country's history.
Local police, for years, had kept several of Lanza's files secret, however, NBC this week obtained some of the documents which were found inside the assailant's home. The documents reportedly include his childhood letters to Santa, complaints about his "crowded" school and disturbing remarks which highlighted Lanza's long-standing eating disorder.
"You will be FAT if you eat today. Just put it off one more DAY. You don't NEED FOOD," Lanza wrote in one of the documents obtained. "Fat people can't fit everywhere," was one of the many notes he wrote to himself, including "people will remember you as the "beautiful thin one".
