Sam Brinton: Biden's fired non-binary official behind school policy that keeps child's gender identity from parents
WASHINGTON, DC: Sam Brinton, a nuclear waste officer in the Biden administration, lost their job after being accused of stealing airport bags twice. The non-binary former Biden official also had a hand in policy that would prevent parents of transgender school students from knowing about their child's gender identity. Before becoming one of the federal government's first non-binary officials, Brinton worked at The Trevor Project which is an LGBTQ youth suicide prevention group.
During their time at the suicide prevention group, they worked on curating the 'Model School District Policy on Suicide Prevention' which spoke of guidelines on telling parents about LGBTQ+ children. The policy was made in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the American School Counselor Association, and the National Association of School Psychologists. In a nutshell, the policy establishes rules on what schools can keep the parents informed on the children's gender identity and gives the school mental health professionals the authority over what information regarding the children shall proceed further.

The policy reads, "While parents and guardians need to be informed and actively involved in decisions regarding the student's welfare, the school mental health professional should ensure that the parents' actions are in the best interest of the student (For example, when a student is LGBTQ and living in an unaffirming household). They go on to argue that parents should not be informed of their child's gender identity or sexual orientation 'unless the student consents." The bombshell revelation has upset people and led to an outrage.
Sam Brinton gets slammed for policy preventing parents from knowing children's gender identity
One angry user tweeted, "These are the ppl writing policy for our children …specifically to exclude parents from absolute parental responsibilities. How do these policies get this far along? Aren’t some conservatives hearing about it along the way? They don’t make background checks like they used to." Another user wrote, "No wonder why children are failing terribly in schools. Force feeding a 5% woke agenda across the country is an embarrassment."

One user said, "It’s unconscionable that a document created by school counselors & psychologists associations would imply that parents don’t love their children unconditionally. This is a deliberate attempt to undermine familial relationships, which are VERY difficult to rebuild once damaged." Another user wrote, "I thought this clown's job was involving nuclear waste or something - wtf is he doing influencing things in the education sector?"

One disgruntled user tweeted, "Why is a nuclear-waste official meddling in the Dept of Education's jurisdiction? Why is this particular bureaucrat allowed to interfere in the policies of a very different dept. from his? Why was he granted special permissions with other depts that his colleagues don't have?" Another user said, "Any adult asking children to keep secrets from their parents is a big red flag to this parent. This thinking is dangerous to children I my opinion."
