Who is Saadat Johnson?
The 27-year-old father was at the Midvale McDonald's drive-thru when he had a dispute with the employees over his food order. He reportedly threatened them by flashing a gun, according to the report by the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake.
At the time of the argument, Johnson had both the children in the backseat. He pulled over at the drive-thru and waited for the McDonald's workers to redo his order. However, the workers sought help from police in the meantime, who arrived at the scene immediately.
As cops tried to remove Johnson from the scene, he was being uncooperative and officers had to make extra efforts to get him off his vehicle. While they were apprehending him, Johnson instructed his 4-year-old son to get hold of his gun and shoot at the officers. Cops revealed that they saw the boy's small arms holding a gun from inside the car door.
One of the responding officers efficiently hit the gun as the child fired it, forcing the bullet to hit a restaurant awning. Though no one was seriously injured, the officer to hit the gun had a small injury on his arm.
More details about the incident will be revealed as investigation proceeds.
