'sMothered': Cher follows in mother Dawn's footsteps and opts for natural birth, but will Jared agree?
Cher Hubsher and her husband, Jared Gopman, are expecting their first child! With Cher's due date coming close, she had been thinking about what would be the best way to give birth. Cher's mother, Dawn Hubsher, had all natural births and Cher thought it would be an experience they could share together if she also opted for the same.
Cher had been thinking about getting an epidural for giving birth but after talking to her mother, she thought about changing her mind. She knew it was a decision she had to come clean about to her husband, Jared. Cher, Dawn, and Jared sat down together to have a talk and she thought it might be the perfect time to break the news. She finally told Jared that she wanted to have a natural birth. Jared admitted it was shocking as it wasn't something they had spoken about before. Cher revealed she had been going back and forth with her plans and she finally made her mind after thinking a lot.
Jared was not too pleased to hear this as he knew Cher's pain tolerance level was really low. He did not want her to go through the pain that she was not prepared for. Despite this, Cher thought it was a good idea as her mother, Dawn, had a natural birth for all her children. She thought if her mother could do it, so could she. However, Jared wondered if the decision was coming from Cher herself or she was talked into it. Dawn decided to weigh in on it and explained she had suggested the option of natural birth to Cher who then went on to do all the research by herself.
Cher and Dawn acknowledged it would be an experience they would share and could talk about. Hearing this, Jared had his doubts and stated that the birthing process didn't have to be a moment to be shared. However, he decided to support Cher's decision and told her she had the right to make the decision for herself as it was her body. Cher thought she was asking a lot from Jared. Right from wanting her mother in the hospital to her mother spending more time in the house, Cher wondered if it would be a lot for Jared to take in. Will Cher be proven right and Dawn's presence put a dent on their relationship?
