'Special guests and new sets': Ryan Seacrest teases BIG changes to 'American Idol' ahead of Top 20 reveal
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 contestants have delivered electrifying and soulful performances during two amazing nights at Aulani Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii. However, as the aspiring singers gear up for the 'Top 20' contestant reveal, show host Ryan Seacrest announced some major changes.
Ryan recently revealed that the 'American Idol' episode will be longer than usual as new guests will join the show with the judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Additionally, Ryan, who recently left 'Live with Kelly and Ryan', teased that the 'American Idol' stage is also getting a stunning makeover.

Ryan Seacrest announces new changes to 'American Idol'
Ryan recently shared an update about 'American Idol' Season 21 ahead of the Top 20 reveal. Soon after Monday night's episode aired, Ryan took to Twitter to let everyone know about the upcoming change. He tweeted, "Voting closes at 6 am ET tomorrow! Tune in next Sunday for our Top 20 show, with special guests and a look at our brand new #americanidol set in Hollywood!" However, Ryan also noted during the previous episode of ABC's show that the upcoming episode will be for three hours.
Ryan said, "We'll see you next Sunday, 8/7c, for our special three-hour Top 20 show. We've got some extra special guests and you'll get a first look at our brand new sets in Hollywood." 'American Idol' viewers were taken fans all over the country for auditions, from Hollywood to Las Vegas and recently Hawaii. However, the upcoming episode will be focusing on California for the live shows with a whole new look. Notably, the live shows usually take place in the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Who will be the special guests on 'American Idol'?
Ryan recently announced that there will be new guests in the upcoming episodes. However, he didn't reveal more about the guests but 'American Idol' has previously teased about it. 'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 13 teased that last year's winner Noah Thompson and runner-up HunterGirl will take the stage to deliver stirring performances during the Top 20 reveal. The upcoming episode promises a pack of entertainment and drama as six contestants will have to head back to their homes. The remaining 20 aspiring singers will perform in hopes of securing a spot in the Top 12.
