While there is excitement and anticipation all over for the 91st Academy Awards that will take place on February 24, the nominations for another highly anticipated award ceremony were recently announced.
On January 25, the nominations for GLAAD Media Awards were announced live from the Sundance Film Festival and VH1's 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and Logo's 'When The Beat Drops' were among the nominees.
GLAAD is the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization. In its 30th year, the GLAAD Media Awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues.
'RuPaul's Drag Race' is a reality TV competition series that revolves around RuPaul Charles who is in the search of America's next drag superstar. RuPaul is the host, mentor, and head judge for this series. Each week, the contestants are given different challenges and one contestant is eliminated at the end. 'RuPaul's Drag Race' is nominated for 'Outstanding Reality Program'.
