'Run On' episode 12 starts with our favorite part of the show -- Yeong-hwa and Dan-ah -- as both of them realize how much they like each other. After that brilliant kiss, Yeong-hwa surprised us all by crying and freaked Dan-ah out for sure. She didn't realize how much of a complex man Yeong-hwa is, and it is only when she begins to convince him to continue to like her that she realizes that he is not someone who would obey her just because he is in love. He would want her to be dependent on each other and that is something new and exactly what may work for their relationship.

While their relationship is moving towards a happy ending, or as happy as it can be with someone such as Dan-ah; Seon-gyeom and Mi-joo's may not be moving forward at all. In fact, when Mi-joo learns that his father has assigned a spy to follow him and track all of his activities, she becomes pretty uncomfortable and is not ready to even meet him outside. She does feel guilty about lying to him, but she also believes that forcing others to put up with her emotional turmoil is abusive.

Even while she is dealing with all of this, Seon-gyeom's father ends up throwing a fit about Seon-gyeom after he has a confrontation with him. Turns out Seon-gyeom did not know about his sister being used by their father for political stability and backing from conglomerate owners and that ends up in a nasty fight between the two. This also ends up becoming the reason why she is abused as Seon-gyeom's father ends up thinking that she is influencing him to rebel against him.

While it might be partly right, in the sense that her company may be influencing him positively to move away from traumatic relationships, she has never really interfered in his family affairs. However, seeing his father come to her door and blackmail her is not something that she can accommodate, and at the moment, she even tells him that she has protected herself first because she is precious to herself and so she would rather not date him and be ruined in the process. However, that is only after Seon-gyeom tells her that she can be mean. So will they really break up?

'Run On' episodes air on Wednesdays and Thursdays on JTBC in Seoul, South Korea and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
