Rudy Giuliani pelted with eggs during 'Jews for Trump' parade in NYC, Internet jokes 'all out of soup cans'
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: As former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani rolled through Manhattan in a convoy on Sunday, October 25, he was pelted with eggs, other projectiles, as well as a stream of insults from anti-Trump protesters. Giuliani was part of a flag-draped pro-Trump caravan. The "Jews for Trump" demonstration was being led by Giuliani when he was bombarded with eggs, including one spot at 59th Street and 5th Avenue.
In a video shared online, one of the protesters could be heard yelling “f**king scum” at the former Big Apple mayor. “F**k you Rudy,” another man was heard screaming. “You f**king coward, go back to f**king Long Island,” another man yelled.

Breaking (last hour):
Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seen driving in a vehicle caravan of pro-Trump demonstrators.
Counter-demonstrators then attacked the caravan with paint, eggs, and projectiles; as well as verbally accosting them.pic.twitter.com/xYtPLkD7Jy
In the clip, Giuliani was seen rolling down the passenger side window of the SUV he was riding in and calling out to one of the officers guarding the streets, saying, "Lieutenant.” The cop he addressed then corrected Giuliani saying, “I’m a sergeant." The cop walks over to the vehicle, which pulls away after the two speak briefly. During their short interaction, Giuliani seems to complain about the fact that the vocal demonstrators were repeatedly shouting, “F**k you Rudy, f**king piece of s**t.”
The reaction to the videos on social media depicted a strong hatred for the former mayor. While some prayed for him to have a worse fate, others made fun of the incident. "Giuliani stepped in the path of a hurled egg during a protester involved altercation," one wrote, while another said, "He deserves worse." A third wrote, "oops they mixed up the bag of rocks with the bag of eggs." One user remarked, "All out of soup cans, I guess," alluding to the infamous statement by President Donald Trump about Antifa protesters in many of his rallies.
Another user said, "Good. Should happen everywhere he goes for the rest of his miserable life." Then there was a user who said, "Eggs are too old for him!" One other person opined, "They were just trying to tuck in their shirts and somehow the eggs flew out of their hands." A next said, "You can’t violate the Hatch Act without getting some eggs."

We previously reported that there were also clashes between the MAGA supporters and anti-Trump protesters in New York City’s Times Square on Sunday afternoon after a convoy of vehicles waving Trump 2020 and American flags confronted the counter-protesters. Several videos circulating on Twitter and other social media sites show protesters ripping flags off the cars in the convoy, while the police are seen arresting a few of them as the chaos gained momentum. A few videos from the event that have gone viral on Twitter show Trump supporters and counter-protesters in violent encounters as the NYPD tries stopping them. Meanwhile, the crowd is heard screaming, “Make him go", while The Village People’s hit song YMCA played in the background. One of the Twitter users shared a clip from the riots and wrote, "Proud Boys/pro-Trump supporters are in NYC’s Times Square now. NYPD cops in riot gear are blocking anti-fascist counter-protesters from getting close. Cops are making violent arrests of counter-protesters & even following orders of Trump supporters on who to arrest."
