From bringing a ‘star witness’ to testify for alleged voter fraud in Michigan hearing to sweat hair dye and contracting Covid-19, President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has not been spared by the media. While a lot is known about the former NYC mayor's political run and unbridled coverage of his conduct in the professional realm, less is known about his personal life.

The 76-year-old attorney had three marriages and an affair that often grabbed the attention of tabloids. Here’s a look at them and his current marital status.

Giuliani and Regina Peruggi, who was a drug abuse counselor at a New York state jail, married in October 1968. Their marriage was tumultuous, finally leading to a divorce in 1982. The primary reason for separation was that the couple learned that they were second cousins. The attorney did not have any children from this 14 year-long marriage.

“Mr. Giuliani’s 14-year marriage to his first wife, Regina Peruggi, was annulled on the grounds that they failed to seek a church dispensation as second cousins once removed,” The New York Times reported.

Giuliani’s met Donna Hanover, a local television personality, in 1982 and both began dating since then. The pair tied the knot in a Catholic ceremony at St Monica's Church in Manhattan in April 1984. They had two children from this marriage named Andrew and Caroline Rose.

However, The Cut reports that their marriage went down in flames in 2000. At that time, Giuliani was in an affair with Judith Nathan, a sales manager for a pharmaceutical company, while he was still married to Donna. In May 2000, in a startling revelation, Giuliani held a press conference announcing that he and Donna were separating — without informing her first. After learning this Donna herself held a separate press conference on her dissolved marriage.

There she accused Giuliani of triggering their troubles in their marriage by carrying on an affair with a former staffer named Cristyne Lategano-Nicholas, an accusation that both Giuliani and Lategano-Nicholas both denied as reported by The New York Times. At the same time, Donna also obtained a temporary restraining order barring Nathan from visiting Gracie Mansion, following which their divorce was finalized in 2002, The Cut reported.

Giuliani's third ex-wife Judith Nathan, at Club Macanudo, has been the most vocal about Giuliani. The attorney married Nathan in 2003 after getting a divorce from Donna. However, their marriage was covered in tabloids as a scandal as it involved another affair while the attorney was still married to Nathan. In 2018 Page Six reported Rudy Giuliani has been bragging to pals about having an affair with a married woman with “big b**bs”. The publication had cited sources who told the same to The Post. As per reports, the rumored mistress was Maria Ryan, a hospital CEO, and doctor.

However, Giuliani called the claims “totally false,” saying “whoever told you that is a liar.” Nathan told The Post as cited by Page Six that Rudy’s assertion was a lie, saying, “My husband’s denial of the affair with the married Mrs. Ryan is as false as his claim that we were separated when he took up with her.” The news of the affair between Giuliani and Ryan swirled up after the two were spotted in an intimate evening at a resort hotel in Whitefield, New Hampshire — five days before Nathan filed for divorce in April 2018.

“I feel betrayed by a man that I supported in every way for more than 20 years,” Judith Giuliani told The New York Times. “I’m sad to know that the hero of 9/11 has become a liar.” The Washington Post reported that after the divorce, Nathan, 64, received $42,000 a month in alimony, an amount she claims is peanuts in contrast to the $230,000 per month she and Giuliani used to spend as a couple.

Is Rudy Giuliani married now?

Rudy Giuliani speaks to the press about various lawsuits related to the 2020 election, inside the Republican National Committee headquarters on November 19, 2020 in Washington, DC. President Donald Trump, who has not been seen publicly in several days, continues to push baseless claims about election fraud and dispute the results of the 2020 United States presidential election.

Giuliani is currently not married, however, rumors are rife that he is dating Maria Ryan, the woman he allegedly cheated on his third wife with, according to The Sun. The report says that in September 2019, the lawyer showed up to a White House dinner with Dr. Maria Ryan. She was also named in court documents filed by Giuliani's last wife Judith Nathan when she divorced him.

However, in June 2019 Giuliani insisted that he and Ryan were just "friends”. Until now there is no news of Ryan and Giuliani’s marriage in the public domain.
