The pandemic may have put a pause on life as we know it but the good bit is, staying indoors has triggered creativity in many of us, Essex queen Cheryl Hole is one of them. “Hey, this would be a great time to start this," she said to herself so that her longstanding dream of hosting a podcast could be realized. And look at her now, chatting up drag queens on her very own show - 'Girl Group Gossip,' which she'd love to be converted into an audio-visual program someday. But podcasting is new for her and it would not be surprising if she were to be a bit apprehensive. Talking to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Cheryl said that even though she learned a lot from 'Girl Group Gossip,' especially the kind of passion that goes into the work, it did take her a few breathing exercises before she could take on the challenge.

"Podcasting is a new world to me, so like every new challenge on the show, you take a deep breath, look at the project with a fresh set of eyes and say “I’m going to do this'," she said and added that since she is a "hustling diva," she records her podcasts in full makeup and drag. But that is also because more often than not she is juggling between projects. Even amid her busy schedule, she finds time to binge on RuPaul Charles and Michelle Visage's podcast 'What's The Tee?' which has also served as an inspiration to her wanting to kickstart her own show.

"I love that we are able to get special guests from the girl groups we’re talking about," Cheryl expressed. "I have a mild fangirl moment, then I pop my professional hat on and get down to business."

She hinted at an interesting guest line up and elaborated on the process of selecting the stars. "We reach out to see who would love to come on and chit chat with us and then go from there. We’ve been over the moon with the guests we’ve had so far and we’ve got a few big surprises coming too."

Cheryl's not just busy with her podcast but has been coming up with new looks, performances, and basically keeping everyone sane and entertained during this time. "People keep asking if I’m releasing music and I’m keeping that a very open-ended answer. Let’s just say I would love to do it and put out a killer music video, but I’m not sure if I can put people through that torture," she concluded.

Girl Group Gossip releases new podcasts every Thursday.
