Berserk Frontier passenger had to be restrained by six co-flyers, claims 'DNA was stolen'
A rowdy air passenger had to be physically restrained by six fellow passengers on a flight to Orlando after he reportedly yelled about being poked with needles by the woman seated behind him and threatened to kill everyone on board. The unnamed man was on the Frontier Airlines flight 1335 from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Orlando on Wednesday night, on February 9, when his actions caused the plane to make an emergency stop in Raleigh where he was led off. The man yelled and accused the woman sitting behind him of trying to steal his DNA using a syringe.
According to one passenger, the man threatened to hit a baby and kill everyone on board. The air passenger shared about the incident on Twitter saying “Guy started flipping out saying the lady behind him was sticking him with needle to steal dna -Said he’d smack every mf on this plane -Threatened a baby -Said he’d kill everyone on this plane”. The video recorded from inside the plane shows how several men were trying to restrain the unruly passenger while he screamed “You can't do this! Oh my god.” Due to the disruptions, the flight was rerouted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport where the man was led off the plane with the assistance of law enforcement officers, fire rescue, and EMS crew.

Passenger incidents like this one are on the rise lately and the number of badly-behaved passengers have soared during the Covid-19 pandemic. In one such incident in October last year, a passenger aboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight was arrested on federal charges for allegedly punching a flight attendant after 'hearing voices' for weeks, making the plane divert back to Honolulu, reports cited. Flight HA152 took off from Daniel K Inouye International Airport en route to Hilo on September 23, when 15 minutes into the flight Steve Sloan Jr punched a male crew member in the chest. Sloan is reported to later have slugged the flight attendant in the head and then sat back down "as if nothing had happened"
Earlier in September 2021, a video of a "drunk couple" who refused to adhere to the mask mandate were kicked off a JetBlue flight and the incident's video went viral on Instagram. The clip was originally uploaded by an Instagram user who recorded the antics of the unidentified couple who refused to cover their noses with a face covering, as required on flights.
